I asked you nicely yesterday to just drop this topic. Internet interactions/discussion don’t aways go the way you intend, c’est la vie. Your most recent post called people out and further stirred shit that should have ended at the first post. Both of those are against Oppo rules. As a result, the post has been sent to drafts and your authorship on Oppo suspended for a 7 days.

I called no one out individually. Making me suffer for the actions of others is unjust. And to be honest if you have the power to suspend people all along, then this is your fault for not putting those folks in check from the beginning while you had the chance to do so. This mess is of your own inaction.
Why would I expect you to take any responsibility then, now, and going forward if the end result is to blame the victims?
Not wanting to deal with it shows a complete lack of leadership on your part.
Yes, I took a couple a couple of shots at some of the ladies for being antagonistic, but I DEFENED THEM ALL. Which apparently is more than you did.

To say this is our fault due to our inaction is ridiculous. We operate on a policy of minimal intervention because people have the right to get emotionally charged in their comments, Oppo can generally self-police fairly well and, frankly, we aren’t paid for this shit. This mess isn’t of our doing, it’s yours because of your continued unwillingness to move on.
To call this result any sort of victim blaming is also ridiculous because it has nothing to do with what happened in the original post where you feel victimised as the discussion got out of hand beyond your intentions. This result has everything to do with your insistence on stirring up a mess that literally everyone else wants left to rest and for calling people out - individually or as a group, doesn’t matter. Those are blatant violations of Opportunity rules, that is why your authorship was suspended.
I hope that clears things up and that you can accept it.

Asking the question and the responses posted are not mutually exclusive. I didn’t stir up the mess. Come to find out after the fact that the subject was brought up previously unbeknownst to me, so it wasn’t a mess that I stirred up, it was a mess that already existed because you or someone else in your position DID NOTHING THEN. And so far have done nothing now.

You’ve completely invalidated your argument. You are engaging in an act of victim shaming*.

But seriously I do understand that you do this for free and it’s not easy on you or anyone else that takes on the responsibility. But remember, it’s your responsibility, your job to put people in check. If you thought of it as a “mess” to begin with, you should have made that clear to begin with. Not to me, BUT TO ALL OF US.
Suspend me for a week? Fine, but only if you suspend the others, for they created this “mess” long before I was dragged into it.
At least I put forth the effort the end this forever in my last post — the one I’ve been suspended for. Apparently, someone didn’t like me doing their job.

Again, I’m not accusing you of stirring up the initial mess. The grievance existed previously, but it hadn’t previously been discussed so publicly or fervently. As said in my last response, that wasn’t your intent but your post simply became that opportunity. It happens but the fact that it happened is not our fault
This discipline is not about restricting your right to respond, it was about how and where you chose to do so. By creating several posts about it afterwards you were stirring shit better left dormant. If you wanted to respond, you should have done so in the initial thread. In fact, you still can. Go nuts.
Being a mod is a responsibility but it’s not a job, certainly not one that we are tied in any way to performing. Life and other things take priority. That’s why minimal intervention and self-policing are preferred.
Do kindly sod off with the victim blaming accusations.
Ending this issue forever remains an open discussion but it will not be rushed as McMike’s series is a long running thing. In the meantime, if such an airing of grievances by people opposed happens again, it will be curbed like your last post was.
